As I sit down to reflect on my journey as an artist, a deep sense of nostalgia and emotion courses through me. My past lifestyle, particularly my time spent riding, participating in jumper shows, and fox hunting, has profoundly influenced my current work. Horses have always been an integral part of my life, intertwined with my love for art. For a long time, I shied away from painting horses. It felt too personal, too second nature, almost as though the very familiarity of them made the challenge too daunting. But now, at my age, I find myself irresistibly drawn to paint what I know and love most. Horses, with their grace, strength, and spirit, have finally found their way onto my canvas.
